Workplace Terms and Conditions – Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events

By submitting this employment application and agreeing to the terms outlined below, I certify that all information I have provided, whether on this application, in my résumé, or during any interviews or communications with Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events, is true, accurate, and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any misrepresentation, omission, or falsification of facts may be grounds for the rejection of my application, rescinding of an offer of employment, or, if already employed, immediate termination of my employment without prior notice, regardless of when such false information is discovered.

I acknowledge and understand that the completion and submission of this employment application does not constitute a promise, offer, or guarantee of employment. I further understand that no employment relationship is created by this application and that Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events is under no obligation to hire or retain me. If I am offered employment, I understand and agree that such employment will be strictly at-will. This means that either I or Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice. I acknowledge that no oral or written statement made by any representative of the company can change the at-will nature of employment unless such change is made in a written agreement signed by the President of Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events.

I agree that Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events may investigate all statements and representations made in my application or during the hiring process. I authorize the company to verify all information provided by me, including my employment history, education, references, and any other credentials relevant to the position. I understand that this verification may include contacting former employers, educational institutions, professional references, and other third parties to gather information about my background, qualifications, and work performance.

By signing this agreement, I expressly authorize any individual, organization, or institution contacted by Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events to release information about me without the need for further consent. I voluntarily release and discharge Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events, its officers, employees, agents, and all such individuals or entities contacted from any and all claims, liability, or damages that may arise as a result of the release or use of information obtained through these inquiries.

I understand that if I am hired, my employment will be governed by company policies, procedures, and guidelines as they may be updated or amended from time to time. I understand that any such policies do not create a contractual obligation or guarantee of continued employment and that the company retains the sole discretion to revise, modify, or terminate its policies at any time.

I further acknowledge that as part of the hiring process, I may be required to submit to pre-employment background checks, reference checks, and/or other evaluations deemed necessary by Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events to determine my suitability for the position. I understand that failure to authorize such checks or refusal to participate may disqualify me from further consideration for employment.

If employed, I agree to comply with all company policies, rules, and procedures, including but not limited to those concerning work performance, attendance, conduct, confidentiality, and safety. I understand that failure to adhere to these policies may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

I understand and agree that any employment offered to me by Susan’s Kitchen Catering and Events may be contingent upon my ability to provide documentation proving my identity and eligibility to work in the United States, as required by federal law. I agree to furnish such documentation upon request and acknowledge that failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of any offer of employment or termination if already employed.

Will I be required to work overtime, weekends, or holidays?

Yes, as a catering business, hours may vary based on event and client needs. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required at times, with advance notice provided when possible.

Is there a dress code I need to follow?

Yes, you are required to wear the designated company uniform when working events. Uniforms must be kept clean and neat, and proper hygiene and grooming are required.
